Location
The Gangaikkondan is situated 17 kms from Thirunelveli on Thirunelveli-Madurai Road from Thirunelveli and the village is around one km on right from the Gangaikkondan by-pass. The Temple is located at the centre of the village on the banks of the Chitra River. There are plenty of buses from Thirunelveli to Gangaikkondan and buses leading to Anaithalaiyur will go via Gangaikonnadan. The temple is only few yards from the bus stand. It is ideal to so stay at Thirunelveli because only few small hotels are available for Tiffin and snacks.
