About Krishna
As Lord withdraws the entire universe into Himself through creation, preservation, destruction and regulation, as He is the manifestation of bliss, and as He has a body of dark hue, He is called 'Krishna'.
He holds the Club and Lotus in His upper left and right hands, and the Disc and Conch in His lower left and right hands.
He is the governing power of the letter 'Yat' of the Gayathri Mantra, 'Prithvi Tattva' — one of the 24 Tattvas — and the Urdhvapundra marked on the neck during the dark half of the lunar month, drinking water, and physical action.
He dwells in the legs of beings. He is to be meditated upon while drinking sacred water, feeding milk to a child, and while kissing kith and kin.
