Lordess Uma became enraged for not inviting Lord Shiva to Prajapati Daksha's yagna and created Bhadrakali Maya with power. Together they created an outcry at the place of Yagya, they tortured the gods, many gods became corporeal due to the wrath, some gods went to the shelter of Brahma due to fear. Lord Shankar said, visit Kayavarohneshwar Shivling situated at the south gate of Mahakal forest. Hearing this, all the deities came to the Mahakal forest and worshiped the Shivalinga and attained the body. Due to the attainment of the body of the gods, the Shivling came in the name of Kayavarohneshwar became famous.It is believed that whosoever worships after seeing the Shivling, after enjoying the best of kings on earth, goes to heaven in the end. This temple is located in Karohan village.
