The Sacred Legend (Sthala Purana)
The demon Arunasura obtained a boon from Lord Brahma that he could not be killed by any two-legged or four-legged being. Emboldened, he tormented the worlds. Goddess Durga manifested countless six-legged divine bees (Bhramaris) from her person, overwhelming and vanquishing Arunasura to establish peace across the cosmos.
